‘Wait Until 8th’ Pledge

Say “yes” to waiting. By signing the pledge below, you promise not to give your child a smartphone or social media until at least 8th grade.

Why Pledge? On average, children ages 8 to 18 spend 7 ½ hours each day on media [1]. As a result, childhood is changing, and the negative impact of excessive screen time is deeply affecting our kids’ attention and wellness [2]. Take the Wait Until 8th pledge and together we can create a healthy, screen-smart community.
